On the 1st of June 2010, I arrived to Napoli, a strange city, where I knew absolutely no one. As soon as I arrived to Collegio Villalta, I was warmly welcomed and directly asked if I were hungry; that gave me a great first impression, I felt as I were coming home. On the next morning I was introduced to all the girls and different members of the house who were always very excited to know everything about my background, culture and language etc… During my stay there, for 2 months, I struggled to understand Italian, being a new language; however everyone helped, supported and encouraged me to the end. The girls quickly became my friends; they showed me around Napoli, how to use busses, trains, we went to the beach, for gelato, shopping etc… Regarding the house; I enjoyed the gardens, the computer room, my bedroom, the living room and the dining room. Everything was always clean, neat and simply perfect. The food was always delicious and freshly prepared. I loved everything about Collegio Villalta, I was honored to know all the girls including Irene, Pia and Elizabeth. It was a wonderful experience that made me always feel that I’m at home.
